The Star Citizen Intergalactic Aerospace Expo, also known as IAE, is a yearly ship exhibition in November, a combination of in-game exhibition and ship sales on the Pledge Store. The expo usually takes place over more than ten days, with new sales, commentary, and possibly new ships. Each day focuses on one particular ship manufacturer or group of manufacturers.

The free fly event offers new players to dip into the ‘Verse of Star Citizen without spending any IRL dime. You can fly for free, all available IAE ships for free - for two days. Once you’re logged in into the ‘Verse - don’t hesitate to ask in the Global Chat for support and advice.
The free fly event offers for long time backers and players who has a game package the opportunity to test all sorts of ships - before they pledge for it IRL or buy it in-game.

Create a free RSI Account, using our Referal Code to get some extra starter cash in-game. Star Citizen
Once created and logged in, you can download and install the RSI Launcher. There you log in with the same credentials and can “play” Star Citizen for free, during this event - not spending any IRL dime on it.

The event succeeds the annual Ship Showdown. During the showdown, backers were able to vote on their favorite ship in each round during the month of September. The winning ships will be highlighted at the expo on the 10th day.

During the ‘manufacturers day’, almost every ship from that particular ship manufacturer is available for pledging. That means, some of the ships, aren’t available during the year to pledge, but at the ‘manufacturers day’ they are. Keep in mind, pledging is not buying. There will be IRL money involved, even if you use Store Credit. If you financially involved into the Star Citizen Project, you may considering making sure, you’re ships (you upgrade to), will have at least 10 years insurance if not Lifetime Insurance (LTI).

If you want to upgrade already pledged ships, use the button “Ship upgrade” under My Hangar at that particular day of ship manufacturer. Check that, even if you don’t consider upgrading.

Keep in mind, pledging is not buying - you don’t own anything afterwards. But in the legal fiction, Roberts Space Industries is legally obliged to provide the ship you pledged for and binds it to your RSI account.
